Golden hour at Solárium Beach Club, turquoise Pacific water meeting a row of cream sunbeds under sand-colored parasols
Est. 2014 · Malibu Coast

The sun stays a little longer here.

A private stretch of Malibu shoreline, dressed in linen and salt air. Cabanas open at ten. Music drifts through palm shadows. The rosé is already chilled.

The Solárium Story

A day made slowly, from sunrise to last song.

We opened a decade ago with one idea: a beach club that behaves like a long, well-set table. Space for silence. Space for celebration. Salt on the rim, sand under the chair, someone always bringing another round.

  • 01
    Sunrise Yoga on the Deck

A ninety-minute Vinyasa flow overlooking the Pacific, followed by cold-pressed juice and warm sourdough from our stone oven.

  • 02
    Long-Table Lunch

A grazing menu of raw bar, wood-fired vegetables, whole grilled fish and cold California wines, served under the pergola from one o'clock.

  • 03
    The Sunset Ritual

At eight, the music softens, the palm lanterns come on, and a chilled glass of rosé arrives at your bed — the house's oldest tradition.

  • 04
    Nights on the Sand

DJ sets until midnight, string lights over the beach, small plates from the late kitchen, and always somewhere to sit and watch the water.

A summer of letters home.

A small, honest selection from our guest book — the days that people wrote about after they went home.

★★★★★

The kind of place you accidentally spend twelve hours in. We arrived for lunch, watched the light change five times, and only left because Pacific Coast Highway was quiet enough to drive.

Cabana service was impossibly warm without ever being intrusive. My glass never emptied. The grilled halibut was the best fish I've had on the West Coast, easily.

We got married on the deck at sunset. I don't know how to describe the light except to say it looked like the sky was on our side. Solárium ran the whole night without one seam showing.
